My ID is based largely on chaetotaxy (major bristling) - this fly is definitely not Lucilia based on that - note how reduced the major bristles are in size and numbers on the scutum compared to the feature pics for Lucilia - a more specific character is this fly has only one pair of postsutural acrostichal bristle pairs (medial pair immediately in front of scutellum), whereas Lucilia has 2 to 3 pairs of postsutural acrostichal bristles (row between medial scutal cross-suture and scutellum).
