the freckled ducks are quite common at that site in small numbers, but the shovellers usually only number 2 or 4 across the whole site for some the year. It was really unusual to see that many shovellers. normally I would say they are not together and usually no ducks are on that particular pond but the whole site was flooded so circumstances were different perhaps to the norm..
